Charcoal Soapstone is a resilient floor made by FifthAndMain, in the Pylon Glue DN range. It costs $3.75 per square foot, or $150.19 per carton of 40.05 square feet. That is for the material, with delivery and installation not included. Construction is Heavy Commercial Luxury Vinyl, the wear layer is 20 mil, it is not waterproof, the manufacturer lists these installation methods: direct glue. It is supplied and installed by Powell Flooring of 1811 Union Valley Rd, West Milford, New Jersey, who also sand and finish floors. Samples are free. Call 973-728-9717.
Cutting waste is the flooring lost to cuts at walls, doorways and the ends of rows.
Every real job has some. A rule of thumb:
0% when you are buying floors and the waste was already included.
5% for a professional flooring installer.
7% for a general contractor, or someone handy who does not specialize in floors.
10% for a homeowner or DIY who wants a little room for error.
Either way, we recommend an extra carton or two: for overages, for the unforeseen, and as
attic stock, kept back in case of accidental damage later, since a style may be discontinued
or unavailable by then.
Enter your room size and we will work out the cartons.

Price codes

It makes floors quick to compare here and to match to their samples in the showroom. The price of your job is the one on your written, line-item estimate. A floor without a code, such as laminate, is priced installed after a free measure.
