Terms
Text message terms
Powell Flooring sends two kinds of text message: alerts to our own employees who asked for them, and texts about an estimate to customers who ticked the text box on the estimate form or texted us first. Nothing else. No marketing, no offers, and nothing to anyone who did not ask.
This page is the terms for both. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to end them, and HELP for help.
Powell Flooring staff alerts
Powell Flooring staff alerts are operational text messages to Powell Flooring employees: a new estimate request, an appointment booked or moved, a change to the schedule, a delivery on its way or received, and a customer to call back. They come from our business number, and they go only to employees who opted in themselves. They are account notifications for people who work here. They are never marketing, and they never go to customers.
An employee opts in on their own page in our staff app. You enter your own mobile number there, beside a notice of these terms, and turn texts on yourself. Nobody in the office can turn them on for you. A confirmation text follows, so you know the number is right and what to reply if you change your mind. The office can turn your texts off, and so can you, at any time.
Texts about your estimate
If you tick the text box under the phone field when you ask us for an estimate, or you text us first, we may text you about that estimate: a reply to your request, a sample on its way, a time to come and measure. That is the only texting we do to customers, and the messages are about your estimate only.
The phone field on the estimate form is for a call back, and it is optional. Texts start only if you tick the box beneath it, and the box is unticked until you tick it. Leave it alone and we still reply by email or phone. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.
How often you hear from us
Message frequency varies. An employee gets as many alerts as the day brings, which can be several on a busy day and none on a quiet one. A customer gets a handful of messages over the life of an estimate.
Message and data rates may apply. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message from us, and no more texts go to that number. You get one text confirming that it stopped, and nothing after it. If you change your mind later, reply START to the same number. An employee then also turns texts back on from their own page in our staff app.
If you are a Powell Flooring employee, you can also turn texts off on your own page in our staff app at any time, and the office can turn them off for you. If you are a customer, you can also call 973-728-9717 or email [email protected] and ask us to stop. Stopping texts never stops your estimate. We keep replying by email or phone.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message from us. You can also email the office at [email protected], or call 973-728-9717, during showroom hours. If a message from us looks wrong, or reached a number that never asked for it, tell us the same way and we will look into it.
Your number and your privacy
We use your mobile number to send the messages described on this page, and for nothing else. Your mobile number and your consent to texts are never sold, and they are not shared with any third party. The phone companies that deliver our messages see the number they deliver to, as any carrier does. Everything else we collect, and what we do with it, is in our privacy policy.
