What it covers, and what it asks
  • Structure: Lifetime, against milling defects and grading errors in the boards.
  • Finish: Unfinished boards are sanded and finished after they are laid, so no PG finish warranty applies.

To keep it

  • First owner only, not transferable, with the invoice as proof of purchase.
  • Installed and cared for as PG Flooring's guides say; a board that is installed counts as accepted.
  • Cleaned with the products PG Flooring offers or recommends.
  • Indoor humidity kept between 37 and 45 percent.

Not covered

  • Natural character: knots, mineral streaks, grain and color variation.
  • Color change from sunlight, and small seasonal gaps between boards.
  • Wear from water, grit, pets, furniture, heels and scratches.
  • Finish wear over less than 10 percent of the floor.
  • Labor, and other costs that come with a claim.

A claim

Start with the store you bought from. PG Flooring takes claims in writing within 6 months of a defect appearing, with the production sticker from the box.
