COREtec Originals Premium is a WPC luxury vinyl plank with COREtec Residential WPC construction, a 30 mil wear layer, and a UV acrylic finish. COREtec describes it as a WPC luxury vinyl plank line with a thicker core for added comfort.
The planks are 9 inches wide, 72.05 inches long, and 0.472 inches thick. COREtec rates the floor as 100% waterproof and says its waterproof foamed core is designed not to warp or buckle when exposed to water. An attached cork underlayment is built in, and COREtec says it adds thermal insulation and sound reduction.
The look is built around wide wood visuals, with realistic wood looks, embossing, and enhanced painted bevels for clearer plank definition. The 9-inch width and 72.05-inch length give each board a long, broad face. Colors include Coretta Oak, Cyril Oak, Ezra Oak, Genova Oak, Grandure Oak, Leisure Oak, Opulence Oak, Pride Oak, Treasure Pine, and Virtue Oak, with different species, colors, and textures across the group.
Living with it
Routine care is simple: sweep regularly and damp mop with a pH-neutral vinyl cleaner. Clean spills quickly so they are easier to remove. For most homes, COREtec Originals Premium is usually installed as a floating click-style angle-tap floor. Direct glue can also be used for commercial or special-use situations. It is suitable above, on, or below grade, so it can be considered for main levels, lower levels, and basement spaces.
COREtec backs the line with a lifetime limited residential wear warranty and a 10-year medium commercial limited warranty. In plain terms, these focus on wear coverage for residential use and limited coverage for medium commercial settings. The written COREtec warranty document governs the details, limits, and exclusions.
