Imperial Pecan is an engineered hardwood with a real pecan face. Pecan grain gives each board its own look, with natural movement and depth. The boards are 7 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick, with a 1.2 mm wood veneer, in random lengths from about 16 to 83 inches.
The face is smooth, with a micro bevel at each edge, so every board is outlined without a heavy groove. The finish is UV-cured aluminum oxide, which Anderson Tuftex says helps resist abrasion and wear. It is made in Vietnam and works with radiant heat.

Design notes
The 7 1/2 inch width gives pecan's grain room to show. The micro bevel outlines each board without a deep groove, and the smooth face keeps the look calm. Antique, for one, shows varied grain with warm undertones.
Living with it
Care for it as a wood floor: sweep or dry mop, and wipe up standing water. It can be nailed or stapled over a wood subfloor, or glued down over concrete, which is how it can go into a finished basement. Anderson Tuftex rates it for above, on and below grade, and for radiant heat.
Anderson Tuftex backs Imperial Pecan with a 50-year limited residential hardwood warranty. It is written for homes, and it has conditions. The Anderson Tuftex warranty document sets the exact terms, limits and exclusions.
No. It is engineered hardwood with a real pecan face: a 1.2 mm veneer, 1/2 inch thick in all.
Can it go below grade in a New Jersey home?
Yes. Anderson Tuftex rates it for above, on and below grade, so a finished basement is in range. Over the concrete of a basement it can be glued down.
How is it installed?
Nailed or stapled over a wood subfloor, or glued down over concrete. The method follows the room and what is under it.
Does it work with radiant heat?
Yes. Anderson Tuftex lists it as suitable for radiant heat systems.
What does pecan look like in this floor?
Each board has its own grain, with natural movement and depth. The smooth face and micro bevel keep the lines clean, and the color you choose sets the mood.
How durable is the finish?
The finish is UV-cured aluminum oxide, which Anderson Tuftex says helps resist abrasion and wear. It is still a wood floor, so felt pads under furniture and a mat at the door help it last.
