Riviera is a 4.5 mm waterproof vinyl that can click and float or be glued down. ### Waterproof laminate AquaProof: a laminate wood look at about 7-3/4 inches wide that Legacy marks waterproof, floated over the subfloor. ### Engineered hardwood Brentwood Hills and Milford in white oak at 7-1/2 inches, Avaron in white oak at 6 inches and Aspen in oak at 6 inches. ## The warranty, in plain terms Legacy states a residential wear warranty by line: lifetime on Coastal, and 25 years on Riviera and Milford. For the other lines, ask us for Legacy's document for the floor you choose. Legacy's own warranty governs. ## How we install it Rigid core vinyl and laminate click together and float, so nothing is fixed to the house, over a flat, solid base. Engineered hardwood is stapled to a wood subfloor or glued to a concrete slab. Like any wood, it needs time in the house to settle before it goes down. ## Living with it Vinyl and laminate want a broom and a damp mop, never standing water on a laminate. Hardwood wants a vacuum without a beater bar and a hardwood cleaner. Felt pads under furniture help them all. ## Questions **Is Legacy flooring waterproof?** Toucan, Coastal, Riviera and AquaProof are marked waterproof by Legacy. Its engineered hardwood is not a waterproof floor. **What is AquaProof?** Legacy's waterproof laminate: 10 mm thick, rated AC4 for wear, and floated over the subfloor. **Does Legacy make wide plank hardwood?** Yes.
