## About Expressions

Expressions is an engineered white oak hardwood from Shaw Floors' The Gallery collection. It has a 4 mm veneer over an engineered construction, with 7-1/2 inch wide planks that are 5/8 inch thick.

The planks come in random lengths from 23.62 inches up to 74.8 inches, giving the floor a mixed-board layout instead of one fixed plank length. A UV aluminum oxide finish is used on the surface. Expressions is made in Vietnam and has a micro-bevel edge profile.

## Who it suits

- Living rooms that call for wide white oak boards
- Bedrooms where natural plank variation is part of the look
- Main levels, lower levels, or finished spaces below grade
- Homes with radiant heat systems
- Households that want real engineered hardwood underfoot

## Design notes

Expressions has extremely high color variation, so the look changes noticeably from plank to plank. The wirebrushed surface adds texture to the white oak, and the micro-bevel edge outlines each 7-1/2 inch board. Color names include Alla Prima, Artistry, Cadence, Freeform, Fresco, Harmony, Lyric, Melody, Mural, Muse, Poetry, Prose, Sonata, and Watercolor.

## Living with it

Expressions is hardwood, so it fits spaces where a real wood floor is the right expectation. It is usually nailed down, with staple or glue installation also available. The floor is suitable for above-, on-, and below-grade installation. Shaw Floors rates Expressions for use with radiant heat systems.

## The warranty, in plain terms

Shaw Floors backs Expressions with a 50-year limited residential warranty. It applies to residential use of this hardwood line and is limited by Shaw Floors' written terms, exclusions, and claim requirements. The maker's warranty document, including its definitions of coverage, governs.
